At the beginning of the new School Year, and as part of the Inmersión project, we have put in place Role Play areas. In these, children elicit fictional situations like if they were happening in real. Through this technique they can perform any type of character or circumstance. The aim is to promote the learning process in a fun and easy way. Our students achieve the command of the language at the same time they work on their social skills.
Spontaneity and improvisation are key. We divide them in groups of two each day, and they choose the character related to the unit that they want to perform. During 20 minutes, and in a relaxing and playful environment, they develope their language in an incredible way.
In the next video 5-years-old kids perform a Role Play about professions related to the school.
